The free antiques valuation day at Peak Village on 11 August was an outstanding hit, with the event attracting a steady stream of visitors from across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. The day featured the popular TV Auctioneer and antiques expert James Lewis, and gave everyone the chance to come together and appreciate the rich history of their treasured items and of Peak Village itself.

In celebration of Rowsley Old Station and goods yard’s recent 160th Birthday, former Rowsley Railway man Glynn Waite will be exhibiting a display of impressive railway heritage photos and literature, at Peak Village’s Antiques Valuation event on Tuesday 11 August, from 10.00am-4.00pm.

Peak Village is ten years old this year and hosted a fun day of line dancing and a saloon-style ‘shoot-out’ for visitors on Sunday. Local line dancing professionals, Timberline of Darley Dale, performed line dancing throughout the day in the exhibition space and coached anyone who wanted to give it a go themselves!. If dancing wasn’t on the shoppers’ agenda, they could enjoy the Saloon Bar ‘Shoot-Out’ experience and put their shooting skills rather than their dancing shoes to the test.
